“No” Snow possible in Portland area today

In case nobody knows, weather forecasters can be slightly inaccurate at times. For the most part they’re pretty good.

Today’s forecast varied from snow in the hills, rain, and “warming” up in the afternoon. Only one of the three weather forecasts I read mentioned snow IN Portland. It said “No snow in the Portland area, it will be confined to the outlaying areas.”

Here is my Tomato garden at 2:49 PM this afternoon.

Nope, not a flake of snow there.

Here is the park down the street and the community garden there. This was 3:30pm today.

And the neighbor’s backyard and the big tree in the back at 3:47pm. Which I am NOT jealous of… that much.

And the “no” snow falling in big, huge, fat, flakes. And falling quite fast.

As of 4:11pm, there is just over an inch on the deck now and no signs of it stopping. Or as predicted by the weather station – turning into rain.
